Costa Rica

I loved Costa Rica!  The wilderness of it, the life of it, just really appealed to me!!  I traveled most of the country leaving out the North West Coast and peninsula of the Guanacaste region simply because I heard it was very touristy and basically just another Cancun, Mexico.  While I haven’t been there actually, I do know its very touristy and a party town.  Though I did go to many well known places in Costa Rica, I did try my best to get off the beaten path when possible.  Having nature at your fingertips was my favorite part of Costa Rica.  Jungle met ocean in a perfect combination in so many places!  Getting around was easy, the people very friendly, and things like getting SIM cards for the phone and currency exchange was also simple.  I never felt in danger, though I had heard of some crimes occurring in town (Puerto Viejo mainly since I lived there the longest) but crimes happen everywhere.  Overall, Costa Rica is top notch!  I just hope for it’s sake it doesn’t get too touristy in all areas.  I hope it keeps the wilderness it has as it’s the best attribute of C.R. in my book.  Hope it stays wild!!  Pura Vida!
